Protect your table with our custom made table pad top
One of the most important things you can do to preserve the finish of your dining or antique table through many years of use is to protect its surface from everyday hazards. Chemical coatings might help against some spills, but only custom table top padding can provide more complete protection, including protection from scratches and nicks and exposure to excessive heat.

Measuring your table top surface
Accuracy is important. For best results, please measure only the table flat surface (without the bevel) and do so to within 1/16 of an inch.

P.P. (NY) March 2017: The table pads for 3 tables arrived – delayed one day by the snow storm, but of course that can't be helped. They are perfect! They fit perfectly and each pad clips magnetically and smoothly to the one next to it. Both my daughter and I are very pleased. In fact, now my middle daughter has decided that she needs a set as well, so I will be sending you the specifications soon! I have included a few photos. The small round table – called a pie crust table because of the edging – is shown without any pad and with the pad half folded and then fully extended. You will see that the pad reached the top of the "pie crust" edging so that with a small round cloth on it, the table will be perfect for tea or to hold dishes when our dining table is full. The dining table is shown with 2 of the 3 leaves in it and there is a close up of the rounded edge of the table. The very thin white line at the bottom of the pad is actually a slight reflection, but in fact, the pad reproduces perfectly the curvature of the table.
I know I will love using these pads for many years to come and if I can be of help in recommendations, please let me know. It would be my pleasure.
M.J. (MI): I ordered a table pad last month, which I love! When I ordered, I did not realize that I ordered it without the quick-locks (big mistake). My question to you is, do you have any suggestions on any aftermarket locking mechanisms to keep my pads from shifting?

Table Pad Construction
Our table pads are handcrafted by experienced people whose work is defined as much by their patience as by their skills. Our manufacturing history reaches back to the 1920's, and we have greatly improved our production processes over the years. For a better perspective on manufacturing processes, it is interesting to note that there are only four major manufacturers in the U.S. Most of them use animal glue in their production, which we do not. Some of them manufacture their products with the use of a single core board. Others build in two or three layers. Some – not all – manufacturers import composition materials from China. All make their pads by hand in the final stages of production. There is just no way around it. So worker skill is very important.
We distinguish ourselves from the pack by focusing on the retail customer. By doing so, our focus is on product quality rather than on trying to achieve economies of scale through mass production. Accordingly, we use the best materials available on the market with the aim of providing you with the best product for your hard-earned dollar. Our core board is a 7/16"-thick, light-density, smooth fiberboard. On the surface side, we laminate two layers of the insulation felt (the same as that used for roofing shingles and, in the auto industry, for noise reduction) to provide even more heat resistance. The finished pad has a total thickness of 5/8". This composition retains enough flexibility to allow the pads to lay very flat. The surface vinyl material is made in the USA by a New Jersey manufacturer. Their manufacturing process, as is true of ours, is fully compliant with the best environmentally-friendly standards and methods. The aforementioned velour, velvet-like underlining is manufactured by two companies based in Massachusetts.
In order to avoid the rigidness and odor of animal glues, we use only water-based adhesives specially produced for our needs by an Ohio-based manufacturer. The adhesive is very flexible and strong. As indicated, all ingredients meet or exceed the most rigorous environmental-friendly requirements. We ourselves do not want to be exposed to hazardous materials during the production process, and you can remain confident that our products will do the job of protecting your furniture without causing health problems to the users of our products.
We pack our products in a double-wall, cardboard carton with bubble wrapping to minimize the incidence of any damage in transportation. We never use loose-fill Styrofoam.

I placed my order online on a Sunday after following careful and well-detailed instructions on the site. Imagine my surprise when half an hour later I got a call (on a SUNDAY!) confirming my order and reviewing all measurements to make sure I made no errors when submitting. I paid an extra 20 dollars for expedited shipping and was given a delivery date about 3 weeks after I ordered. My table pads came today, several days early and they are amazing. It is even nicer and more attractive than I had hoped that it would be—and I assure you that I had high hopes and expectations from reading all the positive things that your previous customers had to say about your work. The pad fits with remarkable precision and the vinyl pattern and color are so close to my actual table that I suspect that anyone visiting our house under everyday conditions would not even notice the pad. I am also impressed with how sturdy the pad seems to be. Your description makes it clear that the pad will be substantial, not flimsy. You describe it as being 5/8 an inch, and it is every bit of that. I just had not realized how substantial a pad of such thickness would be. It is impressive. The cloth bottom (is it felt?) is also of an obviously high quality in its look and feel. This material holds the pad in place with no evidence of sliding at all, which means that I can work with and on the pad without being concerned that it may slip around. I could go on with further words of praise and appreciation, but I'll stop telling you how great your handiwork is because it is evident that much thought and effort has gone into the creation of this pad.
My only regret is that I did not find you sooner and have you make a pad for my table before now. My table has suffered little from careful use over the years, but it is evident that with one of your pads it would not have even the tiny nicks that I have given it. I am truly delighted with this custom pad and now that I have it before me and have had a chance to handle it and to inspect it closely, I am more impressed than ever by the reasonable price of your product.
